I know this is really not the place, but I can't find ANY CURRENT postings on this on the Mozilla sites.

Installed Firefox5 recently and now any hyper link in Thunderbird (ver3.1.11) will not go to the browser. (really screws up my invoicing for my eBay auctions!!)

Any clues?

(move this post if need be.)

When you installed Firefox 5 did you set it as the default browser on your system?

There is a Thunderbird troubleshooting guide here (http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/hyperlinks-in-messages-not-working?s=browser&as=s).

Thanks for the link .. having to right click and copy the link and then post it in the URL box in order to utilize it, is just too many extra steps.

Did all of the suggested steps .. still no joy.

(of course it is default browser .. it is the only one installed on my Linux based computers.)

In doing a bunch of searches, seems I am not alone with this. And it seems to be a recurring one from years past. Many a Windows user has had the problem and the usual "fix" was to go back to using IE .. BUT I have never experienced the issue. (been basically Windows free since 6.04)
