Emerald Theme Manager makes my ubuntu panel disappear

I've spent hours looking through dozens of threads for a solution to my problem but unfortunately none of the solutions provided have worked for me.

Whenever I try to implement a theme using Emerald and execute "emerald --replace" my title bars disappears and the theme is not applied. I've created screenshots below of the problem so that you guys can have a visual of my problem.

For the love of god, if anyone has a solution to this then please, help an ubuntu noob out!

Hi and Welcome

If you are using Ubuntu 11.04 see the link . I like some Emerald themes , but it has never worked very well on any Ubuntu release I have used . I give Emerald a try on each new release . http://www.webupd8.org/2011/05/get-emerald-to-work-in-ubuntu-1104.html#more
