11.04 cd install error messages

Just tried to install from CD the latest release (11.04 I think)
All I see is the Ubuntu loading screen and nothing else.

If I press the up arrow, I see the loading code... I will try to write a few (they move off the screen pretty quickly!)

SQUASHFS error: Unable to read page, block 10c5253c

init: tty5 main pricess (1995) killed by SEGV signal
init: tty5 respawning too fast, stopped

the above just keeps going over and over...

any ideas what's up??

It sounds like an error reading the CD. Did you (a) check the md5sum of the downloaded ISO file, and (b) set the burn speed at the lowest available speed?

I've tried using a slower burn.. Will try the md5 and maybe a different cd manufacturer.
