Hello,

I would like to install Ubuntu Maverick 10.10 as a Minimal Installation. Therefore I downloaded the mini.iso and prepared a USB Stick by using Unetbootin. The setup is working but it can't recognize my network adapter and therefore cancels the ubuntu installation.

My Network Adapter is Onboard of a Asrock 890GM Pro 3 with a Realtek RTL8111E LAN Chip (http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=890GM%20Pro3&cat=Specifications).

The Minimal Setup works with 11.04 but because of compatibility issues I can't use Natty and have to use Maverick. Is it somehow possible to load the network drivers for the setup so I can still install 10.10 without using a full Ubuntu Installation?

Thanks for your time!

Hi, welcome to the fora.

Which problems did you encounter with 11.04?

I'm trying to build a HTPC using XBMC. I needed LIRC for IR Remote Support, but LIRC doesn't seem to work the same way in the new Kernel. Also XBMC has no stable build for 11.04 yet.
