This was pretty funny: When Steve Jobs asked Sean Connery to appear in an Apple ad (http://scoopertino.com/exposed-the-imac-disaster-that-almost-was/). I highly recommend clicking on the photo to read the actual letter Connery wrote to Jobs. Guess that Jobs' "reality distortion field (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reality_distortion_field)" was no match Bond's cool. Ha ha!

Related trivia: Connery turned down roles in The Matrix and Lord of the Rings because he didn't understand them. So the next time he got a script he didn't get, he jumped on it. That film was League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Scoopertino is a pretty funny site though! Bill Gates predicts “Apple Rapture”: all Macs to explode in 2012 (http://scoopertino.com/bill_gates_predicts_apple_rapture_all_macs_to_expl ode_in_2012/)

He said that he regretted doing "Extraordinary League of Gentlemen" for that very reason, he never understood it.

Which would be the reason that it is the worst film that Sean ever made.

[edit:] By the way, thanks OP, that letter is priceless, I'll keep it in my archives for ever. :)

The last good movie I recall him being in was Finding Forrester if I'm not mistaken, everything after that was crap.

Well, it's obviously fake. But if it were real, that would be a good way to get an autograph. :)

I thought Connery was a little older in "98.

Here is the way he looked in 1990's "Hunt for Red October"

His age is effected dramatically by whatever hairpiece he is wearing. :)
