I have a MSI PM8PM-V motherboard.
VIA Integrated Graphics... Unichrome ProSavage or something like that.

I use Ubuntu 11.04 Natty

I want to use compiz effects but i can't.

Monitor resolution is 800x600, i cant change it... the higher resolution of my monitor is 1366x768

i followed this tutorial: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/OpenChrome , but it didn't work. i dont even get a xorg.conf file to edit.

I would like somebody help me to install graphics drivers.. i only need to use compiz and change my monitor resolution to 1366x768... i dont need to play videogames or watch HD movies.

thank you in advance and sorry about my broken english.

Hey,

Are you sure that is the proper motherboard name? I can't seem to find anything about it. I would really like to help, but that seems to be an issue.

hey guys, i read a lot and i found out, this is imposible to do. many have tried, they all have failed. there is nothing to do when you deal with taiwanese crap.. so i give up. i will buy an used agp 8x nvidia or ati video card to save and use this little piece of taiwanese junk to browse the web.

thank you guys. i really appreciate your help
