Hello forum:

I've just installed the Ekee LaTeX Equation Editor 2.0.0 on ubuntu (32 Bits).
Running the program with any equation results in an 'error generating png file'.
What is to do?

Thank you in advance for a helpful answer.

Read the homepage: http://rlehy.free.fr/
ekee is unmaintained and broken on many platforms

It's a bit more work, but if you use latex2html, it will produce images out of your formulas. But I think you need to wrap the formula into a complete LaTeX document.

what was it that you were looking to do? LaTeX editors abound in ubuntu.

ekee is not maintained for long ago.

Try a better alternative for latex equation editor named EqualX. You can find it at http://equalx.sourceforge.net/index.html

Go to downloads and select Ubuntu package.
