Dear UBUNTU Freaks,

On several pages of google i have read about the Anonymity Tool (TOR).

Tor is free software and an open network that helps you defend against a form of network surveillance that threatens personal freedom and privacy, confidential business activities and relationships, and state security known as traffic analysis. (https://www.torproject.org/about/overview.html.en)

Home page : https://www.torproject.org/.

My question is: Is this tool compatible with and a good security tool for UBUNTU?

I have found a link outside the UBUNTU community that there is a way to install it on the 11.04 version.
Link: http://goshawknest.wordpress.com/2011/05/08/how-to-install-tor-on-ubuntu-natty-11-04/

Before i start with the installation i want to make sure if this is the good method.

Thank you in advance for your reply.

regards,
Ricardo

torbrowserbundle for linux does it for you.
but what?: tor is not a security tool
: imho tor gives you no 100% anonimity
(more privacy imho)

Dear Leoquant,

Thank you for your response. It is indeed no security tool. And you have to take into consideration with a lot of things.

So i have decided to not install it.
