I'm wondering if there's a way to embed tags in metadata if the picture has already been tagged with that feature turned off.

I've already tagged over 500 photos before I realized that I did not select the option to embed the tag info in metadata, any way to do this retroactively? I'm using fspot 0.6.1.5 and ubuntu 10.04.

Thanks!

[edit] just upgraded to latest version. Also, is this a standard EXIF tag or just random comment data. If I load these pictures in another photo manager on a windows computer, will the tags show up? They don't show up in gnome.

gthumb will allow you to edit metadata outside of F-Spot. I didn't think F-Spot uses metadata for tagging.
