Hi,

Ubuntu and windows 7 were running in harmony prior to a reinstallation of windows 7. Earlier i would get a screen where i could select either windows or ubuntu to boot from. Now, however, my system seems to bypass that completely. Any suggestions?

I really would like to have ubuntu back.

Thanks,
Shashank

hey shashank
give us information about the GRUB loader , actually there we can choose whats the primary os and secondary os . if you have complete idea about grub.conf file please go there and correct the problem . i think your problem is after installing windows , bootloader of windows override the grub . so please follow this to get rid of it

Hi there. This (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=24113) thread should help.

If it doesn't work, run the bootinfo script found in my signature, and post the results here, it'll clear everything up and make a solution easier.
