Hi all,
I recently upgraded Ubuntu to Natty. I use Gvim on a daily basis but now this is not working anymore. Anyway the syntax highlighting is basically gone. I can choose Railscasts as colorscheme. Background becomes black but that is basically it.
I switched from Eclipse to Gvim because of the many issues I encountered with Eclipse. The last problem with Eclipse was a real showstopper. Some GUI activity/progress indicator would eat 100% CPU constantly.
So I need the syntax highlighting back Gvim. I tried Google but I think there are many versions of gvim around each with other requirements on the syntax highlighting front. So for example the syntax to use in .vimrc seems to be different everywhere.
How can I get syntax highlighting back?
