Last year, I installed flash player 10.2b. When I was updating my flash this morning it was not the latest which is 10.3. Using the flash player check on the adobe site, it showed me the flash version I had which is 10.2b. I've removed 10.3. But 10.2b is still there since it was a beta version I had to manually install this flash version. I've tried to removed it manually by going to the hidden Mozilla folder. But apparently I did not have the permissions to do so.
Does any one have a solution for this?

You can remove it from the synaptic package manager . If you are using Firefox I would suggest Flash Aid . You won't need to install flash using the package system .https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/flash-aid/

This is a great add-on to sort out flash problems. It checks what is already installed in the many possible places that they may be sitting, removes them, then installs the latest version of flash plugin, beta if you set it up to do so. Never failed me yet!

Many thanks to lovinglinux for writing such a useful utility.

This add-on makes something has always used to be a huge pain into something very simple. Add it to Firefox and things will just work... which is exactly what we all want.
