HI All,

I am trying to find an answer to my question but, nobody seems to know about it, so I taking my chances on this forum.

I have a simple question: whenever I encode video with ffmpeg (through terminal) it always sets static rate for keyframes (seems to be the same for all formats). Default one is 12, but you can change it with -g parameter.

What settings can you use to set variable keyframe rate, so that keyframes will be inserted only if it required and based on video content. ?

Any help will be appreciated
Thanks
