Check to see if Unity interface using compiz in 11.04 Natty will run in Virtual box?
Change over to Classic at log-in screen until you check it out.
VMware will not run Gnome with The Unity interface in 11.04 Natty but will run anything
else.
Put Virtual Box in Title next time and will get a host of Virtual box users to answer questions. Have a nice day.

Virtual Box can run Unity 3D, but only with the latest version of Virtual Box, Guest Addons installed AND 3D acceleration enabled. Even after that, it would be buggy. 3D acceleration under Virtual Box is always buggy.

You can install Unity 2D and that should run OK, look for Unity 2D in synaptic package manager.
