I just switched over to ubunto studio to meet my audio and vid needs i enjoy every thing so far except i can't use my Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme PCIe well lets say i kinda can use it it has a digital optical out-put now if i have it set in the sound settings to use my sound card with the digital out put which would be the only out-put i have been able to get to do any thing with the dig opt. it will produce very light sound if i turn my stereo all the way up and what ever media player and my main volume all the way up. that should never happen i never needed to turn it up more then a third of the way. so there is a setting i am missing or is the driver i am using wrong {which is the driver that was loaded in fresh install} if you could help i would appreciated.
