11.04 loading of gnome theme inconsistent

Hi

I recently upgraded from 10.10 to 11.04.
I'm on a Dell XPS Studio 1640 and have Ubuntu installed in Virtual Box.

A lot of the time when I log in the main menu goes to an old grey theme and windows are the same when opened. I think the Gnome theme is not been loaded correctly?
Sometimes it is fine and has the nice default Ubuntu-Default-Dark icons.

What can I do to fix this? (Or figure out what is going wrong)

I seem to have the same issue. I noticed it after making changes to the panel settings (background/size etc)

When I set it back to the default settings, and re-login, it seems to be fine.

Does anyone have a suggestion to fix this permanently though?
