Problem with booting Ubuntu 11.04 installed inside Windows 7

I have Windows 7 64-bit already installed on my laptop. Yesterday I installed Ubuntu 11.04 32-bit inside Windows 7.

After restarting, Ubuntu booted properly in GUI but from today morning it is booting in command mode. I tried using startx to switch to GUI but not woking.

Please help me know to overcome this issue!!!

When you type startx, what errors do you get?

Also try:

etc/init.d/gdm start

[powerusers]

I don't give any error. When I type startx and press return it simply comes to the next line.
