What QT packages to install on 10.04 LTS?

I open Synaptic package manager, and did a search for Qt.
It came back with about 2 to 3 dozen packages, including qt3 and qt4.
So I am stumped!
What to install?

You know that QT does not stand for Quicktime, right?

qt is a GUI for a programming languages. Any package that requires it will install the necessary packages automatically.

What do you need qt for? Are you compiling from source?
