I cant instal applications

Ubuntu 10.10..Hi ... Pls ,can somebody help me... I am trying to install apps but i got no internet connection... I ne some application becouse i cant listen mp3 or watch movies... Please help me where to dowload app and hoW to install...

& ubuntu-restricted-addons

Thank you for posting that, kc1di. I, too, haven't got internet on the machine I have at home, and I'm running 11.10. Your link, with only slight changes, got me the apps I needed to download.
