Greetings, Family.

I have not booted Ubuntu in a while but both before and after I upgraded to 11.04, I have been getting this message upon logging in: (See attachment.)

A clue as to which hard drive or file system is failing? Nah!

I successively unmounted and tested every blessed file system I could unmount, using Disk Utility 2.30.1; all passed immediately, a suspicious behavior if I ever saw one. What kind of test did it do that finished so quickly?

How can I determine which hard disk gdu-notification is complaining about?

Thank mucho.

Hello, I am having the same message, is my hard disk really failing. My computer is acting weird, sometimes the screen goes green and red, sometimes when I shut down my computer it goes to shutdown mode, my screen fades but it never shuts down so I have to manually force it. What can I do?

Thank mucho.Hi, open disk utility and click to do a smart test then read the smart data about your disk.
