Just like my title says, i am trying to install Ubuntu on Toshiba Portege m205 via USB.
The laptop crashed a few months ago on Windows XP, and when try to run Windows it just hangs on a black screen, when entering safe mode, it just hangs on one system file.
The reason i am using a USB is because this specific model of laptop does not have an optical drive (CD Player)
The only thing it has is a space for a floppy drive and two USB ports, so i followed to guide on Ubuntu's website on installing from a USB, after the ISO was extracted onto the Micro Cruzer 4GB USB drive i plugged it into the Laptop and went into the BIOS menu, under Boot Priority it says
"HDD>FDD>CD-ROM>LAN"
Why its says CD ROM i have no clue, but still. Can anyone provide any instructions on how i can get to install any OS (preferable Ubuntu because its on the flash drive) onto this computer

Edit:
Underneath the Boot Priority is says
HDD Priority = PC Card> Built-In HDD
