Since installing unity/ubuntu 11.04, there is a frequent problem with the left mouse button becoming unresponsive.
The mouse pointer moves as it should, the keyboard works fine, as does all the mouse-over effects, but nothing happens when I click in any application or panel.
This is probably due to the system not keeping track of every physical key/button press/release. If I click and press every shift/alt/ctrl/meta/super key and press all the extra buttons on the mouse, the problem goes away (but soon comes back).
Is there an application that will display the current status of the modifier keys and mouse buttons (regardless of which program has input focus) so I could gather a more exact description of the problem in an official bugreport?
