View Full Version : [xubuntu] I'm on Natty, and my network notifications keep growing!

Okay, so I'm on a clean (non-upgrade) install on an EeePC 1015PEM. When I connect to a wireless network, I get a great little bubble letting me know. Then I suspend the computer (shut the lid) and do something else, come back and wake up the computer and I get the network notification again (great!). However, every time this cycle occurs, the notification grows, eventually expanding off the screen, because the "Do not show this message again" button is replicated for every time the cycle occurs. Over the course of the day, this is very annoying (the Disconected message does the same thing).

Does anyone else have this issue?

Where do I even start looking for information on what's going on here?

Same problem here. Have you managed to sort it out?

I had that problem on one of my 11.04 installs a while ago, but haven't noticed it recently. I may have clicked on the "Don't show this message again" button, but other than that I made no effort to fix it, hoping that an update would eventually fix it. I also can't remember if it was Ubuntu or Xubuntu that had the problem.

There is a bug report out about it. See: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/notification-daemon/+bug/606825
