View Full Version : [ubuntu] Nautilus not reading media files properly

I'm using a Natty install (64 bit).

I have a rather large number of MP3 files that are around 250 kbps (VBR). In Ubuntu (Gnome) if I right click > properties > audio, they only show as being about 50-75 kbps.

I switched to Xubuntu, and did the same thing and they are being read correctly, at the proper bit-rate.

I posted this here rather than in Multimedia & Video, because the files play fine, and don't appear to be corrupted. It seems to be an issue of how Ubuntu/Nautilus is reading them.

Anyone else have this issue?
