Before I begin, i'm sorry if I put this in the wrong forum, I wasn't sure. Anyway I have ran 9.10, 10.04, 10.10, then I installed 11.04 from CD today, I logged in, and NON STOP FLICKERING! I mean like, you couldn't even see the bottom and top bars hardly, they kept flickering, I tried to open Mozilla but non stop flickering, trust me its a bloody night mare! I resolved the issue by using UBUNTU CLASSIC (NO EFFECTS), but I still want to fix this, because i'm that sort of person, and I'm wondering why this has happened, it has worked fine in 3 past versions. Weird. My computer is DELL OPTIPLEX SX270, my video/graphics card is intel 82845G graphics controller. Thanks for reading. :(

I had the same issue with 11.04, it worked on the first boot but then the graphics just didn't work properly after that, i just went back to 10.04. You could check your drivers System>Admin>Hardware Drivers ?
