In past Ubuntu versions it was simple to delete your recent files, folders and documents using Gnome desktop. You simply went to:
Places > Search for Files > Recent Documents and clicked on them to delete recent documents.

How do you do this with Unity using Natty? I searched around and see no way to delete recent documents that are building up. How do you remove this clutter?

Thru this ppa you can get some control with the app 'Activity Log Manager'
https://launchpad.net/~zeitgeist/+archive/ppa?field.series_filter=natty

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:zeitgeist/ppa
sudo apt-get update

Then just update/install as seen in synaptic and open activity-log-manager
