It must have been something I have done, but look at this picture. This is my desktop. You can see that there appears to be the outline of a box on that picture.

Why?

This is not the image. When I stretch the image, it remains in the same place (and continues to keep the same size ratio on stretching). Also, when using another image, it is still there.

This is very annoying, and probably a simple thing to rectify.

Any help would be excellent, thanks.

Problem solved, turning off desktop effects then turning on desktop effects sorted out this issue.

I do not know why it happened in the first place, but, no matter.

This problem has not been solved.

Until I can reboot my machine without having this unwanted and annoying effect that you see in that link in the first post, then this is not solved.

Yes, now, every time I restart it is just there.

Anyone?
