Time, taking things quietly, and a sensible diet.

The first one is probably the most important. It's one of those things you can't rush.

Chicken soup and rest.

Oh and drink plenty of liquids. If it's not better in a week or two, go see a doctor.

Fresh air, sunshine, clean fresh water, rest.

Oh and...

Ask a doctor

So the doctor can do what? Spend 5 minutes examining him and auto-prescribe him antibiotics for a virus?

Stop treating doctors like gods. Most of them don't remember anything from medical school other than how to write a prescription and an illegible signature.

Drink lots of fluids, steer clear of alcohol and caffeine, and stay in bed if you are able. Don't bother with a doctor unless you are under the age of 2, over the age of 80, or have had influenza for more than a few weeks (in case it's something more serious).

Since this question has been answered, no more need to keep giving the OP the same advice (rest, drink plenty of fluids, etc.)
