I have recently upgraded to Natty. Unity has a grey background, i have icons on the desktop but nothing else.
When i login with ubuntu classic everything seems ok except having a white screen as my background. I then noticed i cannot move or resize windows but can minimise them. Pretty much all of the compiz effects work. I had the updating earth script as my background before upgrading but is now disabled in start-up applications. Would it be easier to install a fresh copy of Natty?
