I'm a fan of Ubuntu, and I am running Ubuntu 11.04 on my PC. I recently installed the KDE (Kubuntu) desktop via Synaptic Package Manager. I have a few questions about this:

Do I have to update Kubuntu when I update Ubuntu in October, or will it update on its own?
Does running Kubuntu simultaneously on an Ubuntu machine cause any issues (slower performance, conflict in programs, etc.)?
How do I uninstall Kubuntu if I decide that Ubuntu works just fine for me?

As you can tell, I'm not very tech-savvy, but I would really appreciate anyone who can help me with these questions. Thanks guys!

Thanks guys!Hi, I am pretty sure you would update kubuntu just like ubuntu.Hi, no in my opinion it does not make it slower because you are only running one at a time. You would remove it in synaptic just like you installed it.
