I have Comcast. I have Ubuntu 11.04. About 3 weeks ago my Comcast Caller ID quit. It is working in my WindowsXP OS but quit in Linux. It tells me that I have the same version of Adobe Air (the installer for caller ID) already installed. I show Adobe Air in /opt/ along with Adobe, and the OpenOffice programs. The Adobe Air application installer is also in /usr/bin/. Does that tell you anything helpful? I am over my head and Comcast says it is a Windows program but it has been working for 8 months in Linux. They are trying what they know to get it to work again and suggested I ask someone knowledgeable in Linux. Any ideas is greatly appreciated. If I uninstall Adobe Air will it mess something else up?
Thank You.
