View Full Version : [ubuntu] having problems installing 10.10

i'm trying to install 10.10 on my machine and when i go to boot from the cd it only gets to the ubuntu screen. it does the red and white dot thing then all the dots go red and doesn't go any further. and when i try to install from the cd through my system, it doesn't work.

You may need a boot option to get further. What graphics card do you have?

I just tested my hard drive and got this

Device is mounted and no online capability in fsck tool for file system


message, although mine is working now and says it's healthy have you any idea what i need to do to resolve this?

If your running Nvidia boot with nomodeset untill you can get the correct drivers installed.
