Hi,

I'm trying to run an operating system which doesn't have support for Qemu-kvm at the moment (Barrelfish). However, in the repositories for my version of ubuntu (11.04), the pacakges for Qemu are just dummies which install qemu-kvm. Unfortunately, I have recently installed ubuntu and don't have an old version of Qemu installed or present in my package cache. In this case, where and what is the best way to get a hold of and install vanilla Qemu?

Thanks in advance,

-Calef13

Hey Calef,
If you got your issue solved I wish you can share it here, as I am a newbie to the barrelfish as well, and I am trying to build it for my first time over two different OSes Centos6.3, Ubuntu12.04 and having an issue with this Qemu thing.

You can try at the link but only supported releases are listed. It looks like the -kvm version is now being used on recent releases. http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=qemu&searchon=names&suite=all&section=all
