Hi, everyone,

Way back in the bad old days of ******* I had a Palm V handheld organizer, which came with a nifty Palm Desktop program to provide PIM functions (especially contacts and calendar alerts) on the desktop.

I need something similar for Ubuntu.

Yes, I know, these things are now integrated into Evolution, but I don't like Evolution for the same reason I don't like Outlook: it's too big. I have my own E-mail program, but Evolution assumes you'll use it for everything and anything.

I tried Osmo, but that doesn't quite cut it. Yes, it has what I need and nothing I don't want, but it has a "feel" (for lack of a better word) of being not quite ready yet.

So. What would be a good PIM on Natty to keep track of just contacts and calendar items, with an audiovisual alert when a calender item is due?
