I was playing around with the Ubuntu 11.04 Login settings screen and accidentally changed the login session from default (ubuntu) to custom. Now, when I login into desktop environment, I dont see the Launcher nor the menus. Just a blank screen.

Wondering if there is a way to reset it to default ubuntu session?

Thanks for you help!

After typing in your name in the login box or selecting your name from the menu, the options appear in a bar at the bottom of the screen. Change the selected session from custom to ubuntu.

Thanks for quick reply. I'll try it and post the response (on a different partition now).

Just to be clear, the menu is supposed to look like this: http://ihaveapc.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Ubuntu-11.04-Classic-Gnome-Session-001.png

Thanks for the pic, highly appreciated. Since, I changed default login screen settings, I dont see the option in my login screen. It might have been removed as well.

Again, Thanks for your help!

Try typing in "gnome-control-center" without the quotes and then selecting the login screen and changing the settings back to default.
