I just upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04 amd64 and if I right-click on a DVD ISO file and select write to disc, half the time, the whole user interface just restarts.

I don't seem to get any error message or log entry, so I'm not sure how to begin troubleshooting.

Everything worked fine with 10.04.

Open a Burning application like Brasero and select what you would like to do.
Writing and or copying is not Burning. Brasero comes installed as default in Ubuntu.
Is quite good I do believe.

So the write to disc menu item in Nautilus shouldn't be used?

It's 11.04. Perhaps your problem is a known bug and something that will be ironed out soon. ;)

I'm presuming you could happily do exactly what you are trying to do in 10.04 LTS?

Well, it's worked for me since March 2010 with Beta Ubuntu 10.04.

I didn't think right-clicking on an ISO file and choosing Write to Disc was so unusual, but I guess I'm the only one who does that.

Guess I'll have to go back to 10.04.
