Hello everyone.
I have a very boring free time lately and I am looking for some IRC channels for social interaction.

It can be computer talk, but no bug fixing and problem whining on it.
I am basically looking for a chat room for relaxing.
Anyone has any suggestions?

I wished my friends would learn to use IRC channels. Freaking irritating when they all use diferent IM programs, then they complain about never being able to chat all at one time together.. I gota educate these so called IT fools.. lol

Yea #ubuntu-offtopic on irc.freenode.net is a good spot. You can also check out #ubuntu channel for help and also #gnome and #gimp have channels as well for additional tech help.

Seems like there isnt as many chit-chat channels these days tho.

Just wanted to open this thread myself. There is nothing better to before sleeping than to chat in my awesome XFCE terminal using IRCii.

I like #ubuntu-offtopic, but the people there don't like to talk very much. I'm looking for other suggestions.

Not really sure what time you get on, but it's usually pretty active (yes there are some quiet times, but it's not that often).

This (http://ircstats.tonyyarusso.com/ubuntu-offtopic.html) will give you an idea of when it (or who) is most active.

The times are GMT?

According to resident operator rww: "looks like UTC+1 right now. It's generated more than once an hour (every 15 minutes?), and the generation time's at the top of thepage."
