Just been looking at an 11.04 bootable CD, where I was reminded of the continued existence of xfce. "Must try that again!" I thought, and installed it through the Software Centre on my 10.04 laptop. I was hoping/expecting that xfce would then become an option in the Sessions pulldown at log-on, but no such luck. What should I be doing? It is not my intention to switch to xubuntu, just to take another look at an alternative window manager.
Thanks in advance!

In the software center under additional information there are three additional packages listed including the session manager . Are they installed ?
