Hello

I was about to download Ubuntu 11.04 and install it on my computer using Virtualbox and noticed that there is a windows installer and It can install and uninstall Ubuntu in the same way as any other Windows application. It's simple and safe.

Does this mean I don't need to use virtualbox anymore and it will run in Windows (I use XP)?

Please let me know.

Scott

If you use virtualbox you can start ubuntu inside windows. If you use wubi (the windows installer) you will have to choose between Ubuntu and Windows at startup. Both of these methods will not perform as well as if you do a normal install.

Exactly. So the OP can play with Wubi to test Ubuntu and if you like it you could install it alongside Windows, that is not difficult.
