i'm having trouble with the installation of 11.04 on a win7 pc. It worked yesterday, but after a new hardware config, the boot loader doesn't install.

yesterdays success - 11.04 installed first on a single drive system, followed by win7, then 11.04 upgrade to clear the boot problem everyone has after installing win7. everything works.

today - hardware change. installed 2nd sata, created raid, set new partitions, ntsf and net4. installed win7 on ntsf, followed by 11.04. grub does not install, receive error message and installation hangs. tried every variation to hang the loader on every partition but nothing happens.

please share your ideas on installing 11.04 on a win7 striped raid system.

in general it's easier to install windows 7 first, followed by ubuntu. In this case you don't have to do an upgrade for GRUB.
