sever settings

I have ubuntu 10.4 installed using wubi.
I use Thunderbird for my email`s or at least that is what i want. All my sever settings are the same as in windows which works ok. When i try to get mail in ubuntu it tell`s me that my talktalk account is not imap. Am i missing something.

Looks like thunderbird likes to go imap for connection type.
