I just got done installing Linux from an ubuntu distribution disk, with a little help from my daughter. Basically it went very well, better than the reinstall of Windows I had to do due to crashes.
I also installed Wine, from WineHQ. It actually does work to run the programs I needed it for. I have a couple more to test, but if they work, we are home free. Also have to straighten out some printing problems. other than that- Hurray!!!!
