Hi there,

I can't install Ubuntu 11 on my PC, the installation don't start. Shows a huge number of information, so many errors and crashes... Sometimes restart.

My hardware is:
AMD Phenom II X2 555 BE 3.2Ghz 7Mb AM3 Box
Gigabyte Phenom/Athlon II (AM3) | GA-880GMA-UD2H
Kingston 2GB DDR3 1800MHz HyperX C9
Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 1Gb GDDR5 256-bit

Someone know how to solve this problem?

Try 10.04 LTS. Latest not always greatest. ;)

Just a suggestion, but it's possible that there is something wrong with the installation file, since you say the installation won't start.

I recently upgraded to 11.04 AMD64, but the installation crashed halfway into it. Turns out the CD I burned was bad. I burned another CD with the install iso file and that worked.

I had the same problem, works like a charm now. Had also installed successfully from within windows 7, reburned the dvd and now its floating happily on its own partition island :D

You maybe want to post some of the errors? "It doesn't work" is not an error description!

I've tried with Ubuntu 11 and Linux Mint 11 (Ubuntu 11 based), same error. So corrupted instalation aren't.

I have no idea how to post the error here, 'cause it's impossible to get a screenshot there (outside OS) and installation crashes (and reboot). =/

Does this happen in 10.10? It's important because it means it has something to do with 11.04. Otherwise it's just a setting issue. It helps us to help you. :)

Try Ultimate Editon 2.6.1, it's based on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.
It has everything and everything works well. You will not be
disappointed.
