View Full Version : [ubuntu] Sansa USB0 has root permissions.. DENIED! WTH?

so.. i wanted to throw some mp3's and vids on my sansa e250 ..DENIED! it all started when 11.04 would not sense(auto mount) my sansa usb device.. so i upgraded the firmware on the sansa.. BING! UPGRADED. auto mounts gr8 now! but the permissions are root, i dont want any security on this thing.. just wanna plug it in anywhere and use it(any user)!

the owner and group are root permissions. /media/usb0

Uninstall the app usbmount that you have installed. You don't need it; it is intended for non-GUI systems; it interferes with the usb automounting functionality built into the GUI versions of Ubuntu.
