Well no matter how many times I have tried Unity or Gnome 3 I still don't like it.
So last week I did a fresh install of KDE, and after using it for a week I think its great. I don't think I want to go back to Unity or Gnome 3 anytime soon.
Last time I tried KDE was about a year ago, and it was very slow. The thing was buggy and it felt really clunky and too many options compared to Gnome put me off.
However the improvements to KDE over this time have been great. Yes it still has a lot of options, but the desktop feels right and I have been using it without any problems.
I just wish Gnome and Unity did not go down the route of the menu on the left. That menu is killing Gnome and Unity in my opinion.
