You need to read up on how webhosting works.

I am sure Joomla have a tut on how to do this but I expect it is a case of copy the root folder of your install and dump the db to a sql file. Create a new db on your new server and import the sql file to it. Copy the folder to its new position and then alter the settings to point at the new db.

Search Joomla site for a detailed tut on it.

Look at http://docs.joomla.org/Copying_a_Joomla_website

If you are not familiar with this stuff, see the Special Notes in that article.

More info is need on what the OP wants to do, yes joomla will run just fine on an ubuntu lamp server, but who is going to host the server?

You cant just install ubuntu on your PC, install joomla on it and have a working website.
