Hi I installed Wubi for a friend on his Windows XP machine so he could try it out before going for a Ubuntu only system. He likes it so now I would like to delete Windows XP and make Ubuntu the only user of the hard disk. How can I do that? Thanks

XP is most likely living on an NTFS partition, so I would recommend a fresh install. This will give you an Ubuntu system complete with ext3 or 4.

ok thanks will do that. So there is no way to copy customisations and files on the Wubi installation over to the fresh ubuntu install?

Yes, but I would still recommend the new install. Fast and safe.
