I am looking for a multi-modem card that connects to a European 30-channel E1 analog telephone connection. The idea is that the card emulates a bank of 30 modems to the operating system, i.e. 30 windows COM or TTYS ports. Would prefer windows and COM ports for familiarity by other staff, but Linux will do if needed. Emulation of the AT command set (including autoanswer settings) would be ideal.

We want our custom scripts to answer incoming modem calls and carry out short message exchanges (receive alarm messages) before dropping the call again. I think I'm trying to set up something a bit like an old-time bulletin board type system.

I've looked around, and although there are many multi-modem cards, I don't see any that specifically say they emulate COM ports or the AT command set. I'm not sure if this is because they don't, or because it's not worth mentioning because they AlL do it.

Any advice or suggestions would be welcome.
