Hello,

I've recently upgraded to Natty about a week ago and I'm having this white screen of death problem. When multiple applications are maximized, the screen for the applications goes completely white. At first I thought it was a problem with Unity so I'm currently using the classic desktop. I installed the previous drivers for nvidia but the problem still persists. Based on searching elsewhere, it seems the problem probably is due something with compiz as many people have complained. There doesn't seem to be a work around...can anyone help? Thanks so much.

I have this white screen problem after the screensaver has come on. Still busy trying to find a solution.

Same here with the screensaver.

I've resolved it. It was definitely a graphics driver issue (I have on-board graphics). Instead of using the recommended nvidia driver 173, I installed the other option. The screensaver no longer causes a white screen of death nor does an applications window blank out to white anymore (resizing fixed it somewhat). Hope this helps.
