The Houston Computer Museum might be interested. I can refer you to the owner if you want.

That's the SL3VS. Might be handy for someone into electronics who could use it for a gadget/gizmo/task. ;)

Hm, a CPU that even I have no use for? My god, man! Of course, it'd be fun to try and overclock it to something insane like 10Ghz. But I've got my pentium pro for that....

I was thinking of making it a custom router, but over clocking it would be interesting. I never scene silicon melt before, hehehehe.

I'LL TAKE IT! You don't know what you have got there. The Q041A595 batch was the last one made with 87% GOLD pins (You have really no idea about this, or else you would have shown the OTHER side). Batches following this were made with a copper/tin/0.5% gold alloy. Since over 90% of this chip's weight is in it's pins... it's literally worth it's weight in GOLD!

And you were planning to write this off...

See, this is why it pays to have knowledge outside of your specialized field!

You're either a troll, or my definition of geek has just reached a whole new level.

I have a very similar CPU that still gets occasionally used. :)

Celeron 633? Great toy, try seeing who can get the longest skim down the carpet corridor at work.

This isn't prime coaster material. If you want a good coaster, go download ReactOS and put it on a CD, then place beverage of your choice on it. You'll be much more satisfied.
